My research examines the intersections of American politics, religion, and culture, with a particular focus on evangelical Christianity’s relationship to broader American society. My work investigates how religious communities navigate cultural tensions and shape national identity.

I completed my Master's degree in Sociology at Cornell University, where I explored mental health practices and beliefs among Christian ministers in the United States.

I completed my Bachelor of Arts with Honors in Political Sociology at Grinnell College. My honors thesis investigated the relationship between American Christian church attendance and attitudes toward immigration.

My current work investigates American Christian fiction, the authors, and their communities. I examine how their literary works reflect and influence evangelical engagement with mainstream American culture.
